Among the snow-covered apexes, the crossings and the sharp cliffs Of
nelw[l] earth are hidden the spacious valleys, which were stretched per
many miles, as if small kingdoms. These valley- kingdoms are isolated
from each other by lifeless plateaus, narrow canyons and gorges, along
bottom of which approach distant ocean the roaring flows. From the
beginning of the times here lived on the proximity the people and
[trolli], elves and [gobliny]. They in everything relied on wisdom and
force of magicians, who commanded by the elements of air, water, the
earth and fire. But for the ancient traditions time came to leave into
the past…

The invention of steam engine overturned the ancient structure of
life. And to far from all inhabitants of valleys proved to be on the
disposition new epoch with its machines… Many peoples forever rejected
the goods of technical civilization, after returning to the old life in
harmony with nature and magic of four elements. The hostility between
the supporters of science and those thus began, who remained accurate
to magic. And internal strifes thus far burnt between them, dark
legions [vtorglis] into the kingdoms in order to subordinate to
themselves the forces of four elements. Other rulers hoped to warm
hands in the bonfire of large war and concluded unions with the army of
the dark, others at this time were prepared for the serious battles…
From the summits stuck into the sky will begin the long journey of hero
to the noble aim - to stop the advent of the dark into the flourishing
valleys.
